What is Oil Cleansing?
The basic idea of oil cleansing is to use natural oils in specific combinations to cleanse the skin and naturally balance the skin’s natural oils. Think of it this way.... Like dissolves Like....Oil dissolves Oil. We are using natural oils that are filled with essentials that feed and nourish the skin, replacing old dirt filled oil on the surface.
What Are The Benefits Of Oil Cleansing?
The basic concept of this skin care and cleansing method is that the oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and found itself stuck in your pores. You can add steam to open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed. The smallest drop of the right oil formula patted over damp skin will provide the necessary lubrication to keep your skin from over-compensating in oil production.
By using the right oils, you can cleanse your pores of dirt and bacteria naturally, gently and effectively, while replacing the dirty oil with beneficial ones extracted from natural botanicals, vegetables and fruit that heal, protect and nourish your skin. When done properly and consistently, the oil cleansing method can clear the skin from issues like oily skin, dry skin, sensitive skin, blackheads, whiteheads and other problems caused by mild to moderate acne–while leaving your skin healthy, balanced and properly moisturized.
Which Oils Should You Use?
The most common oils used are Castor Oil and Olive Oil, though any natural oil can be used. Castor Oil is a natural astringent, so it helps to pull impurities from the skin, making it ideal for oily or combination skin (and even dry skin in lesser amounts.) Olive Oil boosts skin tone and complexion while moisturizering and calming the skin.

Large pores can easily seem like a curse of nature. But in actuality, large pores have their benefits and can be improved. But it always feels like people are looking at your pores instead of looking at you. This was a concern of mine, too! I'm not going to lie, it was annoying. So what's the deal with large pores? What are their purposes? Why do some people have large pores and others don't? These are common questions I get in the spa, so you are not the only one! The good news is that I'm going to tell you the best treatments that target large pores and some things you can do while at home to help you reach your #skingoals.
Why Large pores?
What's the deal with pores anyway? They do have a purpose, hence their exsistence. The body uses pores as an avenue or a tunnel to eliminate oil, sweat, and toxins that are in the body. What goes in, must find a way out. This is one of many benefits of pores. The size of your pores are based mainly on genetics. Unfornately you were chosen to carry this so called "burden." But looking on the bright side, those who have large pores tend to age more gracefully and at a slower pace due to amount of natural oils on the skin.
Aging skin plays a role in the appearance of large pores, too. As you age, the rate your body produces newer cells and collagen slows down, gravity steps in which pulls the skin downward making the pores seems much larger and more prominate. The great news is that we now have things like technology to help reverse the signs of aging and reduce the size and appearance of large pores.
Micro-needling is a wonderful option for providing an overall healthier and more radiant appearance to the skin. It is also a safe, quick, and comfortable choice for all skin types.

What you can do at home
Say you have an event to attend, but you don't want your pores out shining you. The good news is that there's always things you can do at home to improve the appearance of large pores. Using a toner or a clay mask after you've cleansed your face will tighten the pores and minimize their size. You can also use ice cubes, massage them on the face, and use a poreless primer prior to appying your makeup. All of these methods will draw your pores in and tighten them to reduce their size. Try it out!
What is Acne?

Understanding what type of acne you have and how to treat it will hopefully give you hope that you don't have to live with it. Acne can be tough to treat but it is not impossible.
Listed below are the top five treatments proven to treat hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is one of the most common concerns that we want addressed right away.
In order to choose the ideal treatment, there are some things to consider. First, your lifestyle should be taken into thought. Are you actively outdoors?Do you have time set aside away from work to heal? Have you considered the after care, are you will do deal with that? And most importantly what is your preference? Chemical peels may not be ideal for those who don't have the patience and time to let skin heal. If you have a goal of three months, then the lesser aggressive treatments that promise results over time may not be for you.
After you have narrowed down to three options of interest, I always recommended doing your homework (research). Look at before/after pictures, testimonals, and videos documenting the process to truly understand which is ideal for you. Once you've decided the treatment that is ideal for you, your preference, and lifestyle, then lock it in to get started right away!
